Bristol Rovers manager Joey Barton has been found not guilty of assaulting former Barnsley head coach Daniel Stendel after a League One fixture in 2019.
Barton, 39, had denied a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and a 10-person jury took less than two hours to clear the former Manchester City and Newcastle United at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday.
Barton, who was in charge of Fleetwood Town at the time of the incident, was captured on CCTV footage following then Barnsley boss Stendel into the tunnel at Oakwell after a 4-2 win for the home team on April 13, 2019. To read more, click here.
